SCARED OF CHAKA - Live At Jays 7" (Slovenly Rec.) 5,50 EUR
When Sticker Guy! celebrated their 15th anniversary, they called the guys from SOC to see if they'd play the party. People came to Reno from all over the country to see them! So they did a few more shows around the country and I re-released this 7inch for them to sell. There's only a few handfuls left, so if you didn't get one, move fast! Previously available on some Italian label.
SCARLETT LETTER, The - How Is Your Heart? LP (Lights Out Rec.) 11,50 Euro
Review from Aversiononline "Here's some more diverse hardcore/punk from this band, this time churning out 25 songs in less than 27 minutes. The vocals constantly jump from midrange yelling to higher screaming or some singing, and the music is a mishmash of influences that they manage to blend together very well. You've got really caustic and discordant tracks like "These are the People on Your Message Board" followed by the intriguing melodies of "Shitstorm" that break into some straight melodic hardcore with awesome basslines. It's nuts because the songs run together a lot of times so in some cases you'll think you're listening to the same song for a few minutes when in fact you've gone through two or three different tracks. I also find it curious that the band can somehow be a little bit irritating with their abrasiveness and then turn right around and break off some totally catchy pop punk inspired passages (think I-Spy or something) that jump right out at you. Shit, there are even some rocked out indie-ish elements that remind me of everyone from Endpoint to Fugazi, with everything sort of wrapped around a core of fairly fast, melodic hardcore/punk. I do find the production to be a little too thin for the songs to be done full justice, though. The mix is alright, and the drums sounds fine, but the vocals are mixed a little farther out front than they might need to be, and the high-end bite of the guitars is too much. The bass tone is decent, but the basslines are fucking incredible and deserve a slightly more dominant role (consistently). I don't mind that the guitar performance gets sloppy sometimes, but I do think that the guitars need more low-end. I'm not saying make them heavy, just take out some treble and thicken things up - let the instruments work together, you know? The packaging is pretty interesting. There are two booklets. The outer booklet is a four-panel deal with some illustrations on each side (one of which curiously hints at some political issues), and the inner booklet folds out into a double sided six-panel insert with lyrics and song explanations on each side. The lyrics cover various topics from the post-9/11 climate of fear in the US, to physical abuse, to various angles of communication, or perceptions of the scene in general, but it seems that for the most part the songs have an underlying positive message and sincerely hope for change. "This is not a song but a statement; this is not a band but a declaration. Not an anthem but an idea, a thought, a moment in time, a purpose never forgotten. In whatever may go astray I maintain this will to question, to listen, to learn" I like this band a lot, the first time I heard 'em I turned my head, and I've been interested in their work ever since. I think they have more potential at their disposal than they've ever truly made use of, but I still hope that one day they might cut loose and totally blow my mind. I think this record could've done that in large part were the recording a tad easier on the ears. (6/10) Running time - 26:29, Tracks: 25 [Notable tracks: Shitstorm, Heroes, The Chinaski Racetrack School of Life, Duck Duck Duck Duck Duck Duck Duck Goose, 2003]"

SCEPTRES - Flatline Generation 7" (Dire Rec.) 5,00 EUR
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! Jagged, female-fronted post-punk band whose members are spread across the lower half of the UK. If you liked their first EP on Dire you'll love this one as the band returns with more of the same intricate guitar work and smart and catchy female vox. SCEPTRES finding there insperation in old American punkrock. We are talking make up and greasy hair and late 70 earlie 80 KBD-punkrock, with their own unique voice somewhere between the propulsive punk of the REZILLOS or VICIOUS / MASSHYSTERI and the jagged rhythms of first-wave post-punk bands like SWEEL MAPSS!!!
SCEPTRES / FACEL VEGA 7" (Dire Rec.) 4,90 Euro
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! Second is the new SCEPTRES (shares members with SHITTY LIMITS) record - a split 7" with the welsh band FACEL VEGA (ex- STATE RUN). Hear tracks at myspace.com/thesceptresthesceptres & http://www.myspace.com/facelv

SCHOOL JERKS - Same 7" (Riff Raff Rec.) 5,50 EUR
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! After the demise of Toronto, Canada's TERMINAL STATE, half the band formed REPROBATES and the other formed SCHOOL JERKS, who now play a raw and gritty style of punk that mixes "jealous again"-era BLACK FLAG and ANGRY SAMOANS with a BRUTAL KNIGHTS lethal dose of hardcore-punk fury. Hot on the heels of their debut 7" SCHOOL JERKS offer up 3 more tracks of short, fast and mean hardcore-punk.

SCHROTTGRENZE - Belladonna 12" (Radio Blast Rec.) 8,50 Euro
SCREAMIN’ JAY HAWKINS – At Home With Screamin’ Jay Hawkins LP (Rumble Rec.) 12,50 EUR
By far one of the most outrageous performers of the early years of rock, prone to emerging from coffins on stage, with a flaming skull named Henry as his constant companion, Screamin’ Jay was an insanely theatrical figure long before it was even remotely acceptable. His 1958 debut, At Home, featuring his legendary “I Put A Spell On You”, along with surreal hits like “Hong Kong”, “Take Me Back To The Boot And Saddle”, or his wild-ass reinventions of old standards like “I Love Paris” and “Deep Purple”, is a carefully arranged yet gritty, Ray Charles-gone-crazy styled, full band rhythm and blues masterpiece, filled with enough howls and groans to send chills down your spine.
Tracks – Side A: 1.Orange-Colored Sky 2. Hong Kong 3. Temptation 4. I Love Paris 5. I Put A Spell On You 6. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot Side B: 1. Yellow Coat 2. Ol’ Man River 3. If You Are But A Dream 4. Give Me My Boots And Saddle 5. Deep Purple 6. You Made Me Love You

SCREAMING TREES - Change Has Come 2x7" - SP 48 (Sub Pop Rec.) 12,5 Euro
SCREAMPLAY - Don't Tell Me 7" (Lady Kinky Karrot Rec.) 4,50 Euro
RECOMMENDED 7"!!! After the BRIEFS tour LP release Lady KKK returns with a 3 tracks EP by this amazing synth-wave-punk duo with female vocals. Think of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg under synthetic drugs: the result is a mix of VELVET UNDERGROUND, LOST SOUNDS, EPOXIES, LYDIA LUNCH...!!! 300 copies! GREAT STUFF!!!
SCREWED UP / SICK TIMES Split LP (Destination Unknown Rec.) 11,50 Euro
9 new blasts from this east german skate punx and they do realy well an that record. I mean the first record was pretty good too, but here they do a big step forward. They come up with deep in the early 80's based raw and agressive hardcore, some folks compare them like a mix of MINOR THREAT and REAGAN YOUTH.. and they got the point with that. On the flipside her buddys from SICK TIMES kick out their first Songs on vinyl. And i guess both bands fits perfect together. Faster and with a little less punk as their split partner but in them same style...damned good debuet. by the way..the vinyl comes in a pretty cool foldout-poster cover and is limited on 300...so hurry up !!

SCREWED UP - Land Of The Dead 7" + MP3 (Destination Unknown Rec.) 4,90 EUR
Their best release so far. Angry and pissed on one hand, catchy and snotty on the other. Furious Hardcore Punk influenced by classics like NEGATIVE APPROACH or youngsters like PRESS GANG. A massive kick in your nuts.. Wax comes with a digital download code.
SCREWED UP - Skate Attack LP (Destination Unknown Rec.) 10,75 Euro
After a couple well done releases (THE TANGLED LINES and SHUT THE FUCK UP etc.) Marker records from the Münster area is back with another awesome rerelease. The 14 tracks are quite good, with lots of anger, energy, and speed. SCREWED UP going to mix their early `80s US-hardcore with today's 625 bandana-trashcore! All tracks are built on a foundation of solid trashy and positive hardcore song writing and the occassional inclusion of a catchy melody. The lyrics shifts from your standard "stabbed in the back" fare to songs that are actually interesting and make you think Fast and energetic hardcore recommended for fans of LIF'S HALT, DEAD NATION, SHARK ATTACK or anyone disgruntled in skate- thrash- and fastcore with a hint of positive message.

SEASON TO RISK - In A Perfect World LP (Red Decibel Rec., col. wax, with insert and Derek Hess sleeve) 11,00 Euro
SEDATIVES - Human Beings 7" (Taken By Surprise Rec.) 5,00 EUR
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
A new two song 7" by the great SEDATIVES from Ottawa! Their previous 7" (Going GaGa / P.Trash) and their new self titled full length LP (Deranged / P.Trash) are solid gold.
On this new 45 they jerk out two catchy as hell KBD styled smashers recorded the night Michael Jackson died! Short, fast and snotty, with a SEDATIVES attitude. I will leave the question whether or not KILLED BY DEATH is actually a certain valid category to describe a style of punk music to the messageboard losers.
Their great material can be found here: www.myspace.com/sedativesedatives!
First press will be 500 pieces of black wax housed in screenprinted sleeves!!!

SEDATIVES - Same LP (Full Trash 38)

Limd. 100 "P.Trash Club Picture- Disc version", for P.Trash Club-members only! 14,75 Euro
After having given us the first 7'' fix a couple of month ago, us leeches out there craved for more of that exceptional sound.
To finally put an end to our itching turkey, Canada's four-piece SEDATIVES throw these 11 ounces of Punkrock smack into the filthy gutters and back alleys of the record junkie underworld. Each of the anthemic songs is like a candy-like pill that suddenly develops its dark and dangerous effects and takes you for a mid-tempo three-chord-ride on pumping drums, downstroke guitars and church organ tunes that float in the air while a hell of a melodic voice sings of human failure and personal devastation. This is one good bag of an archaic Punkrock record with a sombre undertone and the dose of danger and catchyness that you seek for. The fierce ''Cannot calm down'' and ''Superstitious minds'' are already known from the first 7'' and were now rerecorded with Skottie of THE CREEPS providing guest vocals, as well as Rob of the STATUES singing on the Überhit ''Slip away'', while new songs like the looming ''Backlash'', ''Catastrophe'', ''No Time'' or ''Hollow in the heart'' show that the band is up for more. So keep on scratching till the next time.
Don't miss them on their 2009 Europe Tour with our pals IDLE HANDS!
SELF ABUSE - Same 7" (Suburban Waste Rec.) 5,50 EUR
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! This (rather unfortunately) already defunct band is basically a super-group comprised of members from the non-epic side of Portland's punk scene. Ian & Colin from the OBSERVERS, DEFECT DEFECT,..., along with some young blood Seve and Wolfgang of PRF and AUTISTIC YOUTH. If you're a fan of DEFECT DEFECT, you'll dig this too.
How can a band—who, obviously, understands hardcore's first wave, and Black Flag surfing the face of that wave—tap right into the root of that powerful, swelling force and not suffer from neither nostalgia nor just be blowing dirty, foamy bubbles of admiration for a form of music that hit our shores over twenty years ago? I have no idea, but, much like CAREER SUICIDE, OUT COLD and GOVERMENT WARNING. SELF ABUSE has made a record that feels like it couldn't have been made at any other time, except in the now. The only problem is my stereo can't get as loud as I wanna blast this!!! Only 250 made of these records, all hand cut and screened covers!!!
SELLOUTS - Black Eyes 7" (Rockin` Bones Rec.) 4 Euro

SESS - Abc b/w Brain Ruster 7" (Slovenly Rec.) 5,50 EUR
From sunny San Diego, Slovenly Recordings brings you two manic sides by THE SESS (pronounced "sesh" ie: session)! A truly original "punk" combo, these tracks give you a real feel for early 80s So. Cal. punk rock without sounding like any band we've ever heard, and believe us, we've heard it all! Slovenly heroes The Rippers declared them "best band we played with" on their U.S. tour, and this 7" rubber donut, complete with a groovy sleeve designed by lo-fi "art" meister Brennan BTMC, will turn any party on it's head, especially if you got a half-pipe in the backyard! Slovenly will not be held responsible for broken skulls while skating/ dancing without wearing a crash helmet.

SEWERGROOVES - Trouble Station LP (Sounds Of Subterrani Rec.) 13,90 EUR
SEWERGROOVES - Trouble Station CD (Sounds Of Subterrani Rec.) 13,90 EUR
The Sewergrooves play a brand of soulful rock, that is quite unique in the contemporary musical landscape. 15 years strong, 6 records and what seems like a million 7-inches - those are the notable facts of their band-history. But there's so much more: As the scandinavian Rockscene decided to move into stadium-territory and rock the masses, the Sewergrooves took the opposite direction and found their refuge back in the garage. It is exactly this decision that makes their sound stand out. Of course references such as Thin Lizzy, Stooges and the early Urge Overkill remain, but that's not all. When it comes to the Sewergrooves, you also need to take into account the more delicate sides of Roky Erickson and the like, the morbidity of Love and the energy of MC5. For a total of 2 years the band worked on their new recordings and they prove to have been worth every second it took. ''Trouble Station'' picks up right where the sound of „Saturday Night, Tonight We're Gonna Have Some Fun" left off. Songs such as ''Free to fly'' or ''One Of Those Things'' are far more than your average retro-rock tunes. With these songs the Sewergrooves carve their successful endeavour of celebrating a present-day notion of 'Rock' - minus fake pathos - into stone. And that is what's characteristic about the Sewergrooves: ''Trouble Station'' stands to prove, that even in the year of 2011, you don't necessarily need to feel ashamed of listening to Hardrock.
SEXAPHONE - Same 7" (Yakisakana Rec.) 4,5 Euro
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Boy/girl duo comprising Janie Too Bad and Lemmy Caution from BLACK TIME! 2nd 7" of catchy lo-fi pop songs.
SEX BEET – She Don't Surf 7" (Fistful Of Rec.) 5,25 EUR
SEX BEET hail from Leicester, England; their Fistful-debut 45 is called "She Don't Surf," and, believe it or not, it was recorded by two masked men in an asbestos filled warehouse in Birmingham. The single/EP comes after only ten months of existence for SEX BEET, originally formed just for "something to do.” Since agreeing to unleash their take of garage-surf-punk onto the unsuspecting public, the band have since shared stages with a bunch of their influences and friends- including BLACK LIPS, THE HIPSHAKES, KING KHAN & THE SHRINES and DEMON´S CLAWS- all over England, France and bloody Belgium. Everything is kept nice and simple- one guitar, one organ, one drum kit - and three drunk young men shouting about girls with nice hair. What's not to like? Several more releases, gigs with thee mighty VICARS and more European tours are on the way, so watch out! 366 copies pressed, comes in 4 -colour silk-screened sleeve, all copies hand-numerated http://www.myspace.com/sexbeet

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! If you like the DAS PUSSYHOUND LP on P.Trash, you will LOVE this 7"!!!After a dozen plus releases Sweet Rot is pleased as hell to finally release a record from their hometown of Vancouver. Influenced in equal parts by CHEATER SLICKS and SPACEMEN 3, the debut release from SEX CHURCH displays a perfect balancing act between depraved aggression and hypnotic psych. 2 monster songs. SHANKS - Backstabber 7" (Tic Tac Totally Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Europe distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Oh boy. The Shanks deliver with 3 trashy cuts about domestic violence, revenge and other family values. The songs here are a rough-medium-pace and hit hard as hell. Would be in good company on some modern KBD comp in terms of tuneage. Would certainly make lots of people cry mommy. Great stuff to punch people in the face to, or just get wasted and hate your life to. This one will get played loud.

SHANKS - Big Feelin' 7" (Boom Chick Rec.) 5,50 Euro
Think a trashy version of BOSTON CHINKS and you have it!!! - Two GREAT Songs, cool sleeve, 500 pressed. No more words to say...
SHANKS - Cut Me 7" (Boom Chick Rec.) Dif. color wax marble grey, purple,... 5,50 Euro
"Remember all that supposedly angry punk music you listened to when you were feeling the pangs of rebellious adolescence? Imagine if the music actually was angry. Imagine if it was served with aside dish of crude and blown-out.Well, the facts in the landmark case of the Shanks' Cut Me 7" are clear. There's a knife on the front and there's a girlie. The knife is at her throat. And it says the Shanks on it. You haven't bought this record yet? What more do you want? It doesn't take August Stringberg to figure out that this is the good stuff."
SHARP ENDS - Broadview Pressure Test 7" (Mammoth Cave Recording Rec.) 5,85 EUR
Europe exclusive distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Comes with download code. The sound of a guitar losing its mind in the middle of a garage rock rager, Joy Division on the Prairies (and feeling absolutely hopeless about it), Sharp Ends continue their path of destruction through the city leaving concussions, spilled beer and blown ear drums in their wake. Bleak, catchy post-punk with an icy Alberta stomp, a depressed banshee on the mic, blown out bass and spooky, spidering guitar.
Reissue of Sharp Ends self-released 4-song 7" EP that came out in an edition of 100 and sold out in 24 hours back in December 2009, and in my humble opinion, the best Sharp Ends best songs from when they were fresh and hungry. Deadly serious here, we've been itching to reissue this since it was released.
SHARP ENDS - Crack Trap 7" (Mammoth Cave Recording Rec.) 5,85 EUR
Europe exclusive distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Fresh off their debut on Chicago's Hozac Records, Sharp Ends deliver their 2nd of three 7"s coming out in Fall 2009 (with each single decreasing in availability). For this single, Sharp Ends combine their post-punk/early Joy Division vibe with decidedly more of a pop sensibility, even displaying elements of power-pop on the b-side, Loaded Hearts. The killer here is the a-side Crack Trap, which has one of the catchiest guitar hooks we've heard in some time.
SHARP ENDS - Northern Front b/w Ghosts of Chance 7" (HoZac Rec.) 6,75 EUR
Calgary, Alberta has been unearthing gem after gem of exciting new post-punk outfits recently, and Sharp Ends were the "gateway drug" into that inner circle we'd been waiting to find. With an icy Tubeway Army/Joy Division/Crisis vibe that blackens the circles under your eyeballs and causes your pores to contract with its clammy, cold-wave simplicity, this is the foreboding sign of impending doom that we've been so anxiously anticipating from the mysterious North. If this alluringly stark, and monolithically dark pop piques your interest, don't pass up the chance to grab this, the Sharp Ends debut single.
SHARP OBJECTS - Same CD (Dirty Faces Rec.) 12,50 EUR
A guy from THE BRIEFS, 2 guys from THE BODIES and a guy from
Puerto Rico – thats what you need to know about the SHARP
OBJECTS line-up. As for their output to date, they have released
two 7 inches last year, both highly praised worldwide and captured
many top ten lists for best releases of 2010 (including two 7 inches
of the year awards). With this release, the bands self-titled debut full
length, its quite simply the best new LP released in 2011. Ten killer,
POSHBOY-esque songs instantly bringing to mind the
ADOLESCENTS/SOCIAL DISTORTION/AGENT ORANGE/TSOLera
of early 80s LA punk. Dark, aggressive and loaded with hooks,
these tunes will enter your ears and stick in yer head until your nuts
unexpectedly explode, leaving you with your mind blown and your
nuts a thing of the past.

And if '77 Punk has been creeping slouchily along for decades now, ''Zero Ambition'' and ''Misspent Youth'' by the living dead BRIEFS and BODIES personnel sound like the remake of Dawn of the Dead and will make even the most slack-infected corpse stand up again and shake a leg. Another record that is cutting off generous slices from the big spicy Punkrock pepperoni with a sharp knife and a dull tongue. Or was it the other way around? Don't know. Must pogo...must pogo!

SHIRLEY MACLAINES - Want You To Go 7" (Bachelor Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Way before I started to work at BACHELOR HQ my boss already had this barely legal teenpunk sensation on his radar. I only knew them from photographs at GIMP‘s pinboard, so I was thinkin‘ „HOW CAN THESE CUTIES CRANK OUT GARAGE PUNK TUNES? THEY ARE WAYYYY TO NICE!” ... but as soon as I tried to introduce myself they made something clear as crystal: the are full of HATE. I‘ve never seen or met a group of girls that impolite, aggressive, stubborn and vitriolic. Like a truckload of PMS killer queens on a bad hair day. „Oh oh.... !” I thought. But the GIMP was right. He is always right. This bunch of misanthropists have potential! Add an phlegmatic and dipsomaniac sound wizard from Monaco di Bavarie called Albert K. Putnik - and you have a HIT RECORD!

This is what happens when Florida's sweltering summer sun forces you in doors. Three songs of brain cooked lo fi bedroom punk. Two catchy weird(not that way) punk anthems, followed by a few minutes of dark droney noise. Shit Eagle is now playing out and backed by two ex-image boys.
SHITTY LIMITS Beware The Limits LP (Sorry State Rec.) 13,25 EUR
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED US-Press Version, only a few in stock!!! For the last two years THE SHITTY LIMITS from Reading and High Wycombe have easily been the most active, prolific and best Hardcore-Punk band in the UK. They have released 5 untouchable 7"s and now it's time for the debut full-length album. They define themselve as a '60s Garage, '70s Punk and '80s Hardcore band, and that's exactly what you get inside this 23 Minutes album. It has attitude, tunes to kill for and that something special. Think a garage version of MINOR THREAT or "Pink flag" era WIRE mixed with the L.A. Punk scene of the late '70s. Each song is short, sharp and a fireball of energy. Hands down - the best UK Hardcore-Punk album in years!!!
SHITTY LIMITS - Here Are The Limits 7" (Static Shock Rec.) 5,00 EUR
Back In Stock / Last Copies! Six songs in nine minutes of fast paced hardcore / punk rock from one of the most prolific bands in the country. I absolutely hate having to come up with comparisons, but I've seen 'MINOR THREAT meets THE SONICS plus a breeze HENRY FIATS OPEN SORE' thrown around a couple of times lately, so that will do. The band are about to record a full length lp as well as returning to Belgium and playing Canada for the first time over the next couple of months, so keep an eye out."
SHOCK CINEMA - Same 7" (Rob's House Rec.) 5,50 Euro
SHOCK CINEMA formed in the winter of 2005 after some of ther members had been doing time in other atlanta/athens bands like you are jaguar and the agenda. Their early songs were essentially a soundtrack of sorts to dante's divine comedy. "the chase" and "the wreck" are songs from around this time and draw influences from kraut rock (CAN, NEU, FAUST) to new/no-wave(TALKING HEADS, PYLON, SLITS, PIL).

SHOEMAKERS - Turn Me On CD (Wanda Rec.) 11,90 EUR
There has been such a buzz around THE SHOEMAKERS and I've always liked what I heard when I caught them on comps and on the radio so I was excited to hear this full-length, and yeah, I'll have to add to that buzz already surrounding them because this is a killer piece of punk rock. Tons of energy, great production (by Olivier of GASOLHEADS / HATEPINKS) and killer tunes. They have a very interesting sound that just hits the nail on the head from the get-go. These guys just have it, their sound is instantly classic and it's very recognizable without being a carbon copy of anyone. Very impressive. Their punk rock - molotov style is a mix of HATEPINKS, DEAD BOYS and MANGES .It's fucking excellent. This is a release that makes you pay attention, you will be instantly hooked on THE SHOEMAKERS. Sleeve done by Olivier Gasolheads (BRIEFS, HATEPINKS, AGGRAVATION)

SICKIDZ - Teenage Obsessions LP (Rave Up Rec.) 11,90 EUR
A Philadelphia-based punk rock band formed sometime back in the late 1970's. Four teenagers in love with The Cramps, Stooges, ’60 garage punk and of course the first wave of punk rock. This bunch of guys were Mick Cancer, Alison (the) End, Tim Trauma and Rich Lustre. Their apocalyptic theatrical performances became popular in Philly/N.Y.C underground circuits (Hot Club, CBGB, Max’s), opening for punk illuminaries as The Cramps, Iggy Pop, Gang of Four, Contortions, Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Dead Kennedys etc... After their first 7” ‘Rhythm Gurl’ released in 1981, Lux Interior and Poison Ivy Rorschach produced their classic ‘I Could Go To Hell For You’ EP in 1983. This anthology contains the best of their 1979-84 studio recordings. VOODOO PUNKERS NEVER DIE! HERE ARE THE SICKIDZ!!!
SICK MORMONS - Why Does Shit Keep Falling From The Sky ? 7" (Gummopunx & Demonomania Rec.) 5,00 EUR
The SICK MORMONS from Amsterdam bring their trashed-out Los Angeles-style punk rock to you! This snotty music is steeped in the bile that swirled around the City of Angels when TSOL and the ADOLESCENTS held court in 1983. This is highly-objectionable punk rock for bad people!

SIDS - Winter 7" (Rob`s House Rec.) 5,75 EUR
Last year Rob`s House pressed up a limited seasonal 7" with two driving punk tracks from SIDS. As promised, we've repressed it for your 2009 holidays. On paper its a xmas record but in typical SIDS' fashion the synth keyboards, darkly delivered vocals and creepy bells are much more than topical and worth repeat listens throughout the year. the band has completely redone the artwork (we love it!!) and the repress comes on red vinyl. last year's pressing sold out almost immediately so don't miss out.
SILLA ELÉCTRICA - Tensión 7” (Blondes Must Die Rec.) 5,50 EUR
3rd single by SILLA ELÉCTRICA. With "Tensión" this trio from Madrid, with current members in their ranks from MULETRAIN and LAS SEÑORAS, confirms exactly why they're considered in Spain and on the rest of the planet to be one of the best bands in punk and hardcore. The single has another 4 hits filled with speed, passion and adrenaline like the previous singles, but better! The songs have two guitars, drums and two killer voices (male/female) and only the rawest production without any artificial feel it'll give you the chills. Excellent!
SILVER BULLET - Spacedetective 7" (Gas Rec., limd. 200) 7,00 Euro
SILVER COCKS - Same LP (White Zoo Rec.) 11,90 EUR
The SILVER COCKS are pure devastation Killed By Death style, their 'eastern' oriented punk rock, strongly influenced by former Yugoslavia bands such Pekinska Patka and Paraf, takes no prisoners! This is the debut Lp, after their awesome EP on the american label Zodiac Killers Records released one year ago. Superb cover, absolutely 'out of head'!

Swedish Punk devotees SISTA SEKUNDEN's new big plate is filled to the brim with enthusiasm and joyous anthems that go against time and serve as a brilliant manual to age with style.
Still angry, still pissed-off and still loving the healing powers of punky Hardcore the four midsters keep on delivering a sweeping 13-song swipe on politicians, priests and other pigs who want to tell you what to do, left wing hooligans, hispster bands and their overpriced products, welfare states and police violence. They really took their time to rasp and file some hard edges off their sound and stepped a little off the throttle in favor of more melodic and catchier mid-tempo tunes that let us have a glimpse on personal issues like being the last Punk standing, leaving your boring hometown behind, the never ending love for Punk and Hardcore and growing old in style, just like singer Dempe's grandpa Knut, looking at us proud and sincere from the cover of this album. A man who spend 50 years as a steelworker for a goldwatch and a handshake and to whom the song 'Morfar Knut' is dedicated. For all the professional againsters who refuse to give in to a prefab life and rather keep on keeping on listening to some timeless music; get this record that is bound to become a milestone in Swedish Punkrock for generations ahead to enjoy!

SISTA SEKUNDEN - Don't Blame Us! Tape (Revulsion Rec.) 8,50 EUR
Malaysia tape version limd. 200
The cover of "I am not a punk", translated into Swedish ("Jag är inte punk"), by Descendents sums it up pretty damn good. Besides the obvious; the fact that this four piece punk-rock combo from Malmö, Sweden has developed a complete and utter infatuation for American hardcore, it's clear that we're dealing with high quality punk-rock that stands out. And in times like these, the eccentric take of singing in Swedish is also a thing I applaud. 'Cause to be honest; you can easily sort out the quality from the quantity when it comes to punk sung in this native language nowadays. There's not on an ounce of originality to Sista Sekunden's music, I know, but they have the honorable courage to think outside the box sometimes. Furious hardcore in the vein of Adolescents is mixed with melodic punk rock in "Bombplan" reminiscent to early Bad Religion somewhere around "How could hell be any worse?" and that's a typical characteristic of the band and this album. "Skyll inte på oss" ("Don't blame us") is a reckless and rash album similar to a rollercoaster. In a good way, that is. If you're only going to buy one punk album this year, buy this one.

Limd. 125 "Killing Friar" edit. purple, orange & black screened silkscreen sleeve or red, neon-yellow & black screened silkscreen sleeve 6,25 Euro
Unfortunately, SISTA SEKUNDEN had to cancel their tour with D.S.B.
earlier this year. But to reconciliate all the mournful fans, the band recorded seven new songs which P.TRASH now releases in cooperation with INSTIGATE REC.
And you will shout ''Hall-e-fuckin-luja'' to the Posi-Core gods above, below or wherever when your sorry ears catch these tunes for the first time. These dudes really know how to put the fun back into Hardcore without becoming a washed-out and lame clownery act.
This is fast, this is melodic, this has tons of singalongs, this has mid-tempo parts that will make you go nuts, this bursts of energy and, most of all, this has guts and a big fucking smile on the face at the same time. This shit is genius and the BEST! ever done by SISTA SEKUNDEN. Even if you don't speak Swedish, this record will make you want to start the kind of bedroom circle-pit action you haven't done since that kiddy days way back then!
SISTA SEKUNDEN - Sista Försvarslinjen CD-only (Instigate Rec.) 10,50 EUR
Seven new songs that were recorded and released as a tourniquet for the cancellation of the tour w DSB earlier this year. We felt we had to do something to compensate and the songs are hard and angry, just the way we felt. It's the BEST stuff ever done by SISTA SEKUNDEN!!!
SISTA SEKUNDEN - Skyll inte på oss LP (Instigate Rec.) 11,50 EUR
SISTA SEKUNDEN - Skyll inte på oss CD (Wasted Sounds Rec.) 10,50 Euro
Back In Stock! Sista Sekunden shows Sweden once more how it can be fun to play hardcore, recycling Outlasts old saying "Positive Hardcore" there follow-up to there debute record is way more melodic and with more chorus and sing-a-long parts. They have collected just as much influences from Decendents as from Outlast or Career Suicide. This is the best record with modern US Hardcore out of Sweden since Outlasts - Positive Hardcore Positive Youth, perhaps even better then that now classic record. The thing that relly makes Sista Sekunden to stick out is that they sing in Swedish. Sista Sekunden brings energy and positivity back in the Hardcorescene.

SISU - Sharp Teeth 7" (Hell, Yes! Rec.) 5,90 EUR
Collector item, comes with special cutted sleeves to see the amzing color of wax!!! Sandy Vu is the most recent addition to Dum Dum Girls. Her drumming has given the band the final blast they needed to reach their live perfection. Last time DDG played in Italy, Sandy had told me she had recorded some tracks with her other band. Straight after the gig I went back home to listen to the tunes on the band's website. I listened to those songs on loop for about three hours, uninterrupted. The idea for the cover reminded me of the fragmented pop sound of the music, with it’s edgy shapes. Sandy and I went crazy trying to get the artwork right but we finally managed to create a gem. Mixed by Lars Stalfors of Mars Volta.

Flat out wailin' and stompin, riled up and volatile; these songs burn! A soul ripped out, soaked in gasoline then thrown on to barbeque to it's right degree of burntness. 13 originals & a cover of Chuck Berry's "promised land",recorded by Edouard Laroque. ltd edition of 570 copies.

But always sounding like a Skip Jensen Record at all times! Way above the cut of Blues Punk records! Bachelor Elmar loved it so much he didn't leave my house without a testpressing..and that ought to tell ya something about the all goodness of this record as we all know Bachelor ain't no Blues label!!!

The Doc is pleased as punch to release the second full length from one of the true legends of Punk Rock: THE SKULLS! If you thought their fisrt full length release Therapy For the Shy was great (you'd be right) but this new release, The Golden Age of Piracy, blows it away! One ear-crushing, drum-pounding Punk Rock anthem after the next, VERY powerful and more "catchy" than herpies. THE SKULLS consist of lead singer Billy Bones, James "Hardslug" Harding (of THE ADICTS) on bass, Sean "Geronimo" Antillon (GEARS, CONTROLLERS) on drums and one of the best guitarist out there Kevin "the Kid" Gorman.

SLEAZE - Called you Once 7" (Floridas Dying / Total Punk Rec.) 5,90 EUR
Minneapolis's shittiest sons are back to deliver more of their wisdom to an indifferent public. When they aren't smokin fuckin cigs, or doing pcp, their blowin up the phones of unimpressed teenage girls. "Called You Once" is a snotty start stop punker that's sure to be a "hit in the pit!" The B side is "REtro Sexy Blue" a slow punk burner that shows they've got something else brewing under the surface. I can almost hear their pimples popping.
SLEAZE - Smoking Cigs 7" (Fashionable Idiots Rec.) 4,50 EUR
The vinyl debut for Twin Cities rebel rousers, THE SLEAZE. Smoking Fucking Cigs is an ode to angsty teenage shit bags worldwide and the flip is a slowed down thumper with the same snot dreanched vocals. Weirdos with fresh high school diplomas (maybe).

SLOPPY SECONDS - You Can't Kill Joey Ramone 7" (Wallride Rec.) 5,75 EUR
Just in time for Joey Ramone's birthday, here's a limited tribute single from the kings of junk rock. "YOU CAN'T KILL JOEY RAMONE" on side A hails from SLOPPY SECONDS' latest full length ENDLESS BUMMER and according to juicycerebellum.com is "the best fucking song SLOPPY SECONDS has done in 15 years." Flip it over to side B for an unreleased cover of "CAN'T STAND ROCK AND ROLL" by the ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE, easily far catchier and faster than the original.
SLUGZ - Suit and Tie 7" (Feel It Rec.) 5,85 EUR
Raw, trashy garage that eases right up to the border of being hardcore. The closest comparison I can think of is the RETAINERS, but they are at times even more melodic than that band, approaching near-CARBONES levels of killer songwriting. Its catchy as hell, punk as shit and the true rock quotient is there too. Quite a surprising record and a pleasant shocker! Fans of the old heros like DAMNED, THE KIDS etc. will love them!
SMALLTOWN - Implosion LP (Deranged Rec.) 12,50 EUR
SMALLTOWN - Implosion CD (Deranged Rec.) 12,00 EUR
Their second full length is IMPLOSION and as expected, it is a total melodic punk explosion. More of the same great melodic mod influenced punk found on their last album THE MUSIC (see reviews below) – full of ultra catchy, anthemic songs with raw tuneful vocals and teeth clenching riffs. Think the STRIKE and STIFF LITTLE FINGERS. Their last single was hailed as ‘one of the best disc of the decade’ in MRR, I’m not going to argue - this band should be huge!
SMALLTOWN - Read Between The Lines 10" (Pirate Press Rec.) Limd. 175 Orange Sunburst Wax (one per order) 12,75 EUR
SMALLTOWN - Read Between The Lines 10" (Pirate Press Rec.) Limd. 275 Blood Red Wax 11,50 EUR

SMALLTOWN will tour around Europe with STATUES & VICIOUS CYCLE spring 2010!!! These guys from a small town in Sweden are melodic punk, mod, power-pop with an edge. As a follow up to their recent full-length on Deranged Records, this 10" features 4 originals and 3 amazing covers tracks (THE STRIKES, THE STATUES, ELVIS COSTELLO). For fans of STIFF LITTLE FINGERS, BUZZCOCKS, THE CLASH!!

Back in stock!
Finally, the first SMALLTOWN full length - 'THE MUSIC' continues where the 'YEARS, MONTHS' 7" left off. More of the same great melodic mod influenced punk - ultra catchy, anthemic songs with raw tuneful vocals and teeth clenching riffs. Think the STRIKE and STIFF LITTLE FINGERS. Their last single was hailed as 'one of the best disc of the decade' in MRR, I'm not going to argue - this band should be huge, this record might just do it... 12 brilliant tracks which are bound to grab a whole lot of attention.
SMALLTOWN - Years, Months 7" (Deranged Rec.) 5,00 EUR
Back in stock!
Proud to have this three piece Swedish outfit join the roster. With two solid ep's under thier belt, but still little exposure to North America, this ep should turn a few heads. They've been compared to the likes of Stiff Little Fingers and Newtown Neurotics and that's probably as good a comparison as it gets. Tuneful melodic punk rock with slightly raspy vocals. Currently working on a full length.
SMITH WESTERNS - Dye It Blonde LP + MP3 (Fat Possum Rec.) 17,50 EUR
Smith Westerns have cleaned up nicely. Just over a year ago, the Chicago foursome were of the strictly "lo-fi" persuasion, stirring up hot, filthy garage-rock candy out of Marc Bolan and Beatles signifiers. It was youthful music in feeling and sound-- their noisy full-length debut was recorded while they were still in high school-- but the remarkable hooks buried therein were clear enough to land them on the increasingly stacked Fat Possum roster. And suddenly, they had a studio budget the likes of which they definitely hadn't enjoyed before. Though the leap is audibly huge, Dye It Blonde's many successes aren't wholly the result of its gilded production values and ambition. This band was able to furnish first-class melodies from the beginning. Now they've grown along with their resources.

SNAKE FLOWER 2 - Renegade Daydream LP (Tic Tac Totally Rec.) 12,90 EUR
Following the Talk About It single TTT did earlier this year, SNAKE FLOWER 2 and Matthew Melton (BARE WIRES, RIVER CITY TANLINES, MEMPHIS BREAK-UP) deliver a full-length album cranked up for a ballsier, more blown-out sound with production courtesy of culprits Jay Bronzini (The CUTS, TIME FLYS) on recording, and Weasel Walter (XBXRX, FLYING LUTTENBACHERS) for mastering. With all the bits n pieces of the psych/punk/garage rock n roll mixture that made their singles stay on the turntables here (and there?!!).
SNAKE FLOWER 2 - Talk About It 7" (Tic Tac Totally Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Matthew Melton (ex-RIVER CITY TANLINES, BARE WIRES) serves up a home recorded variation on "Talk About It" from the upcoming LP on Tic Tac Totally. B-side is "Runnin From the Night", a softer and more eerie take on his classic sounding poppy rock. The vocal tones sit amazingly over this sound. I dig it. That's it. You write your own review. After you buy this record.
SNAKE FLOWER 2 - Things Seem 7" (Iekk! Sounds Rec.) 5,45 EUR
In this 4th Iekk! Sounds release you will find psychedelic easter sound from the mind and hand of our friend Mathew Melton (RIVER CITY TAN LINES, BARE WIRES, and also know for his photograph work). Huge A side called "things seem" and awesome B side with "no way home" (different and far away better take from the Lp) and the intimate wicked blossoms. Nothing left to say...

SNIFFING GLUE / PRESS GANG 7" (Search For Fame Rec.) 4,50 EUR
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! This is the brandnew split 7" by two of German finest bands. SNIFFING GLUE deliver once more 3 perfect '80s influenced hardcore-punk tracks in the vein of their previous releases. PRESS GANG throw in 2 fine KBD-styled punk-smasher. Yet another highyl acclaimed Search For Fame release. If you dig both previous releases you'll love this too. Hurry up; limited as usual!
SNIFFING GLUE - I'm Not Alright LP (Barfight Rec.) 10,50 EUR
After a stellar LP and subsequent 7", along with countless shows SNIFFING GLUE are releasing "i'm not alright". It seems that SNIFFING GLUE have gotten popular for their tight and nimble approach to hardcore-punk. "i'm not alright" is another retro record that sounds fresh in the modern day sound scape - authentic, energetic, with lots of anger, and with speed by time - all of which is build on a foundation of solid songwriting, incredible lyrics, and the occasional inclusion of a catchy melody from start to finish. The 9 new tracks (plus one additional cover by a german punk-rock classic) on "i'am not alright" are as good as any '80s Reagan-era hardcore-punk record you've ever heard...so yeah if you want to get some kick-ass snotty tunes without fashion styled shit and tough attitudes...or you already got rid off all those classic bands that they always get compared with (bla bla...CIRCLE JERKS, BLACK FLAG...blabla), get this shit as soon as you possibly can. Maybe a record so angry and powerful that it is bound to create an instant slam-dance party in your house? Well, right you are!
SNIFFING GLUE - Same LP (Search For Fame Rec.) 11,50 EUR
SNIFFING GLUE are no strangers to the German, (and european) scene. With a couple outstanding releases under their belt these punks deliver yet again an excellent piece of old-schoolish hardcore-punk! Early US hardcore collides with nowadays popular scandinavian punk-rock. The diverse songwriting that you have come to expect from SNIFFING GLUE is still very much present on this new LP - from the pissed hardcore blasts to the more mid-tempo, catchy hook laden fist pumpers, and everything in between - this LP has it all. Needless to say, this rager destroys everything in its path.

SNIFFING GLUE - We Are Sniffing Glue... Fuck You LP (Barfight Rec.) 9,90 EUR
Fucking crucial, why the hell don't you own this already? SNIFFING GLUE is one of the best upcoming bands out of germany (with members from THE ITALIAN STALLION and KRAUTBOMBER) - hands down! You'll get 15 tracks of completely insane hardcore-punk in the best '80s reagan-era style. The sound is somewhere between those hyped stateside bands (GOVERNMENT WARNING, DIRECT CONTROL etc.), with nods to classic bands of yesterday like CIRCLE JERKS and "My war & damaged" era BLACK FLAG. Incredible lyrics belted out over furious yet catchy songs really put this over the top. Cool trebly guitar attack with some fist-pumping tempos to satisfy all hardcore-heads. Nicely packed in an awesome cover and a huge poster-inlay! Well if you don't have this album get it!
SNUFFED BY YAKUZA - Fast Livin 7" (Ken Rock Rec.) limd. 300 5,00 EUR
Great band from Uppsla, this is their debut 7” they have some CD out before. One of the wildest and best live band in Sweden, they playing hot wild fast blusepunkrock. If you think, bluespunk not for me , then same and go to: http://www.myspace.com/snuffedbytheyakuza
SOA - No Policy LP (Born To Kill Rec.) 11,25 EUR
Crazy over the top pre-BLACK FLAG seminal DC core with Henry Rollins on vocals, contains their 7", tracks from FLEX YOUR HEAD, demos, live tracks from Wash DC 1980, and the complete demos from the Extorts, pre- SOA guys with Lyle Preslar on vocals, just before he quit to form MINOR THREAT and where SOA saw the light with Henry. A must for any KBD HC collector!
SOCIAL CIRCKLE - City Shock 12" (Hardware Rec.) 10,50 EUR
A SOCIAL CIRCKLE LP! Finally, more than just a few songs for our enjoyment. If you've heard their previous 7"es and comp tracks, then you know they are an all around solid hardcore punk band. I think it's safe to say they've outdone themselves here. You'll have to be the judge of that. As for the tunes present here, they've combined melody with speed on all the right levels. You can hear late 70's punk rock from all around the globe as well as intense early 80's HC in their sound. It's another winner from SOCIAL CIRCKLE, and you won't be let down.
SO COW - Meaningless Friendly LP (Tic Tac Totally Rec.) 13,90 EUR
Europe distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Super-duper-awaited new studio album from Tuam, Ireland's SO COW!! The passport was stamped and this fine new case of raw gems arrive at last. Power-pop with a dexterity to go epic at times, SO COW stretches mostly over Home Blitz territory and Gizmo-land. SO COW's lyrical content goes from sweetly profound to quirky humor and hitting on the pop charms that make bands like the Television Personalities tick. These 13 songs constantly glue spasms of noise to pop and it runs like a train of thought to the nut house for a romantic dinner with a phantom lady. This album gets stuck onto your brain and then melts a grilled cheese sandwich over it. There is no escape from So Cow.

SO COW - Same LP (Tic Tac Totally Rec.) 13,90 EUR
A SO COW LP! Here's 18 choice numbers from Tuam's favored songsmith and overall pop genius Brian Kelly. This LP includes selected tracks from his self-released CDs, the two singles, plus a dash of new material making it the fucking greatest LP ever made. Hahaha. All of this was remastered from the original recordings by Mr. Bob Weston (the archival genius that brought ya that J.T. IV LP) and his slightly less expensive accomplice Carl Saff. So no expense nor headache was spared to bring you the finest in SO COW tunery just in time for his world fucking tour. Brace yourself American buttheads.
For those who do not know SO COW, get this! For those who know SO COW, I know you will already! For people looking forward to the HOMOSEXUALS LP... this will do for now! We finally trapped the goods in a good proper LP.
SODA POP KIDS - Stomp And Shout 7" (No Front Teeth Rec.)limd. multi col. wax 7,90 Euro
SODA POP KIDS - Stomp And Shout 7" (No Front Teeth Rec.) 4,90 Euro
Two brand new cuts from the SODA POP KIDS in thier trademark style: a fun and infectious blend of the rough punk edge of the DEAD BOYS and the NEW YORKS DOLLS, the infectious rock ‘n’ roll rhythms of Little Richard and Chuck Berry, and the ‘60s bubblegum pop of Phil Spector’s girl groups – but gone wild. The SODA POP KIDS have carved themselves a permanent name in Portland punk history in recent years with their bubblegum punk sound and charismatic live show. With refreshing songs and a style all their own they dive headfirst into the very essence of good times rock ‘n’ roll. How can something be so appealing when it’s so squalid, or so addictive when you know it’s absolutely mischievous? I don’t know either, but that’s The SODA POP KIDS. They are heroin bubblegum, a flick knife popsicle – so catchy, so cute, so fucking tasty, and so beautifully fucked up. Tony from the RIFFS plays in this band and that should be a serious stamp of approval... Tracks: Stomp And Shout! / Santa Monica Pearls
SOFT CELL - Non Stop Erotic Dancing LP (Some Bizzare Rec., cut out) 7,00 Euro
SOMETHING FIERCE - Don't Be So Cruel LP (Dirtnap Rec.) 13,90 EUR
Distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
3rd album and proper Dirtnap debut (after we issued the vinyl version of their incredible, self-released 2nd CD, There Are No Answers in 2009) from Houston, TX upstarts Something Fierce. If There Are No Answers perfected the Marked Men-meets-The-Buzzcocks brand of snappy poppy punk that the band had been working on since their inception in 2005, Don't Be So Cruel finds 'em rapidly expanding outwards from that sound. While undeniably influenced by various strands of 70s punk, this record is slightly more subtle and sophisticated than mere 77-revivalists would have it. Slightly nuanced, almost understated at times, vapid party-punk this is most definitely not. Thoughtful, well written, well played songs that strike a perfect balance between fun and smart. Kinda reminds us of when the original UK bands were just starting to branch out from the punk template, but before the head-on dive into post-punk artiness. More '79 than '77, if you know what we mean.

SOMETHING FIERCE - There Are No Answers LP (Dirtnap Rec.) 12,50 Euro
Dirtnap is proud as shit to add these Texas powerpop punks to our roster. You might remember them as one of the show-stealers from our last Dancehall Troops compilation with ‘Teenage Ruins’. "There Are No Answers" is their second full-length and it rules like crazy... wildy addictive and with the perfect balance between melody, speed and rawness. This is some serious song-writing here. Bursting with punk energy and pop promise, "There Are No Answers" sounds like Something Fierce are having the time of their lives playing these songs, and it's contagious. Just try not to dance around the room. "There Are No Answers" is a hot blast of punk and powerpop influenced by the original wave of 1977. This album is the romantic vision of a detached world, where demons lurk and aliens wander, and try as you might, there are no answers... (except “Yes you should!” to the question, ‘Should I get this?”)

SONIC AVENUES - Same LP (Taken By Surprise Rec.) 11,50 EUR
Formed in 2006, they've been developing their craft over 4 years...preparing, and finally executing. This is the debut album from the Montreal power-pop-punk combo. This record originally came out limited to 300 pieces on the great Ottawa based Going Gaga label and this repress comes with different cover art. This is slick punk-rock,
with a great reverence for pop music songwriting. Think of the UNDERTONES and STEVE ADAMYK BAND plus MARKED MEN in one bed and you come very close to how great this record really is. Why can't music always be this great? A totally satisfying sound! A great Friday night solution for any tin-banger, house-spouse or desk jockey. Vinyl version includes MP3 download code.

SONIC DOLLS - I`m A Flower, Too CD/LP (Flight 13 Rec.) 12,5 / 11 Euro
Based on the genetic fusion of RONALD McDONALD, AGENT ORANGE and the dirt under the fingernails of the RAMONES. In music the SONIC DOLLS clone sheep has surely grazed on each and every meadow in the whole wide Punk Rock world, so that the clone sheep of the RICHIES, the BADTOWN BOYS and the STIFF LITTLE FINGERS would have had to suffer very much hunger, if they ever happened to exist.
SONIC YOUTH - Evol LP (FANCLUB) 12,90 EUR
New York City's Lower East Side has always attracted bohemian freaks looking to shock the world, but with EVOL (Love spelled backwards)--their third album after a live tape and several EPs--Sonic Youth finally figured a way to make their skronk count. Combining alternate guitar tunings with nearly linear songwriting, SY proved they could harness their energy into a combustible engine. The multititled closer, "Expressway to Yr. Skull" (or "Madonna, Sean, and Me"), is pure apocalyptic beauty, while "Shadow of a Doubt" succeeds by being more subdued and suggestive.
SONIC YOUTH - Master Brix LP (FANCLUB) 12,90 EUR
LP include the "Master Disk" EP (with the Ramones Cover "Beat on the Brat") from 1987 and "Tuna 4 Brix" EP from 1988 (all 4 Songs are The FALL Cover)"Master Dik".

SPARKS - Hello Young Lovers LP (In The Red Rec.) 11,90 Euro
Initial copies on limited edition color vinyl. On their incomparable new album, Sparks protest predictability, obliterate the ordinary and demand utmost respect. Hello Young Lovers is cinematic, bold, and lyrically liberal, with moments of sheer beauty, dissonance and harmony. It may not win a Grammy, but an Oscar's not out of the question. Never, never, has there been an auditory assault of such magnitude presented in the realm of pop music. When Sparks' last album Lil'Beethoven hit the streets critics lauded and applauded, fans smiled smugly with overdue vindication and fellow musicians wept when faced with the reality that, once again, Sparks had raised the bar by which all other albums should be judged. Now the Angeleno brothers, Ron and Russell Mael present Hello Young Lovers, their twentieth album. To achieve such enormity and expansiveness they worked in a limitless vacuum for the best part of eighteen months. The only inspiration taken from any current music was the provocation to go as far as possible in the opposite direction. When writing and recording Lil' Beethoven, Sparks broke the rules, but in creating Hello Young Lovers the rule book has been thrown away. Once again, the Angelenos are joined by Tammy Glover on drums and guitarist Dean Menta with special guests Jim Wilson on guitar and Steve McDonald on bass. The resulting album is an extraordinary masterpiece.
SPASTIC PANTHERS / THROWAWAYS Split 7" (Handsome Dan Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Side one is some impeccable Canadian hardcore by the SPASTIC PANTHERS. I was on their side before putting the needle on the record due to their hilarious artwork aping Body Counts debut album, however the music greatly exceeded my expectations. They fit four songs of speedy early 80s hardcore on the A side and made me a fan despite the last song on their side being a dud, relatively speaking.
The second side is ragged, poppy garage rock with female vocals by The THROWAWAYS, also from Canada. Like the SPASTIC PANTHERS, they deliver four songs on their side with no songs over two minutes. Their standout track is "Pterodactyl Clap" which pulses and rages with aerial reptilian fury. In the simplest of terms, I like what these Canadians are up to. File under BAYONETTES or MASSHYSTERI with english voice.
SPECTACLES - Re-Spectacled LP (Rave Up Rec.) 12,25 EUR
Finally one of the legends of the early S.Francisco punk music are on vinyl. These amazing tracks were in fact recorded in 1980 but they never saw the light! Now, after 30 years, Rave Up records discovered these pioneers of Art Punk music.
The band was really popular in the Bay Area and opened for many important bands such Black Flag, The Lewd, The Mentors, Los Lobos, Red Hot Chili Peppers ecc... This album is ESSENTIAL for every fan of bands such Devo, Pere Ubu, Screamers, Von Lmo ecc… So, grab this incredible Lp, all recorded in studio right now! No filler! 100% American genius! Art cover designed by Winston Smith!!!
SPECTRES - Last Days LP (Sabotage Rec.) 10,90 Euro
Spectres were originally formed in 2006 by Brian Gustavson and Steve Hanker in a small town called Coombs, British Columbia. The pair wanted to experiment with peace punk and post punk influences and made a few demos that were mailed out and given away to various friends. Whisper in Darkness label heard one of these demos and expressed an interest in what eventually became the "Cold War" 7". At this point Brian and Steve set about putting together a band to start playing shows, and Heather Szilagyi (drums), Nathan Szilagyi (bass) and Zach Batalden (guitar) were added to the band's roster. Not long after Heather left the band and Steve Gerencer joined to fill in on drums, and this line up went on to make the "Visions of a New World" 7" later that year. The band toured to support this release in the spring of 2008 and Steve Hanker left the band after the tour to persue other projects. Tyler Pilling joined shortly after to play guitar in Steve's place and this line up has been consistently playing shows in the Pacific North West ever since. The band's first LP, "Last Days" began when Spectres partnered with Felix Fung of Little Red Sounds in January of 2009, working in multiple sessions through the next few months to complete their debut full length album. The new record expands the song writing skills from their two previous ep's to include some more angular writing abilies. The vocals are more dynamic and overall better thought out. Being compared to bands like JOY DIVISION and SISTERS OF MERCY is a hard thing to live up to, but they have definitely taken those influences and molded them into something heartfelt and profound.
SPENCEY DUDE & THE DOODLES - Same 7" (Rob`s House Rec.) 5,50 EUR
If I weren't an east coast man at heart San Francisco / Bay Area is definitely where I'd want to be as they seem to be the obvious forerunners for the 'best local scene' award. With acts like Nobunny, Hunx, Personal & The Pizzas, Rantouls, Ty Segall, Skipper, Buzzer, etc. etc. they've really been cranking out the hit singles lately. So here's another San Fran band to add to the list: Spencey Dude & The Doodles [website] !!! This, their debut release, contains four amazing pop songs so instantly contagious that we could have split them up over 2 singles and sold 'em like crack but we just couldn't wait to get these out. No worries, we've heard their other 'un-released' stuff and can safely say there's no load-blowing here. Expect many more hits from Spencey Dude. Recorded by Greg Ashley (Gris Gris) and including members of Gris Gris and Dutchess & The Duke.
SPIDER BAGS - Hey Delinquents 7" (Daggerman Rec.) 5,75 EUR
Their first 7" and a follow-up to their LP on Birdman Records. Spider Bags began as a side-project for Dan McGee, the guitarist of the DC Snipers. Now they're a North Carolina based drunken shamble of a roots band with feet in the trashy garage and punk worlds. The flip side of this was produced by Camero Werewolf, the scum wiz behind Live Fast Die.
SPIDER BABIES – Rock N Roll Rejects 7" (Ken Rock Rec.) 5,15 EUR
They are back, new recordings and yes they are still one and only Spider babies. First record was out 1992 and this is 3 new tracks. Just in time for the Scandal in Scandinavia tour 2011. And yeep its out on Red, blue, black or white vinyl. So pick a color or order them all.

A rip-it-up collection of rare and out-of-print material from punk rockers the SPITS. Includes all the songs from the band's 19 Million AC 7-inch EP, along with seven unheard new songs, and a handful of rare and unreleased gems-including covers of GG Allin's "Drink, Fight & Fuck" and the Dick's "Kill From The Heart."
SPITS, THE - Pain 7" (Slovenly Rec.) 5,50 EUR
To coincide with the release of the new LP by the reigning kings of psychedelic skate punk, Slovenly Recordings is proud to present four additional brand new tracks from THE SPITS on a 45 that rivals any of their long players (and particularly the 19 Million AC E.P. that got Slovenly off our ass to go sign these nutbags in Seattle!) for pure chaos and stupidity. It's been awhile since they last recorded, but THE SPITS, as always, deliver a quick and trippy Atari 2600 on crack ass-whooping that'll leave you with a double dose of black eye! And if that ain't enough for you, this 7" monster features a cover version of Pain’s "I Hate Pain" from the classic punk rock "Battle Of The Bands" episode of C.H.i.P.s! Lesser bands (and ALL bands are lesser than THE SPITS) have tried in the past to cover this song, but only THE SPITS give it the weirdness it deserves. Of course Pain lost the battle in that episode, but we all know who the real losers are!
SPITS - Same #2 LP (Slovenly Rec.) 11,90 EUR
"Best record of the year? That's so easy, man. The SPITS album #2, on Slovenly Records (sic). The guitars sound like food processors! -Ruby Mars, Rocket From The Crypt, during an interview with DevilInTheWoods Magazine (issue 5.1)
SPITS - Same #3 LP (Slovenly Rec.) 11,90 EUR
The third self-titled full-length album from a band that should be knifed, hung, and then shot for the aggravation. It's punk, it's rock'n'roll, it's all about partying, having a great time, and fucking shit up. Originally released by Dirtnap. Vital like a fucking zit.
SPITS - Same #4 LP (In The Red Rec.) 14,75 EUR
2010 Version! Rerelease by In The Red Records! SPITS show no sign of slowing down with their latest effort, mixing equal parts DEVO and MISFITS into an aurally addictive, synth-inflected stew. Previous records have contained themes of escaped Nazi war criminals, nuclear winters, commie spies, and terrorist attacks, coupled with back alley booze-fests, brain-bruising bong rips, skateboards, and fisticuffs - THE SPITS #4 should prove to be just as desperately disparate and sonically sordid as previous salvos. In short: Unlike a lot of the bands in the staid punk scene, SPITS are fun.
SPITS - Same #5 LP (In The Red Rec.) 15,50 EUR
Everyone's favorite space-age mutant skate punks THE SPITS are back with their long-awaited fifth album (self-titled, as were the previous four) and these twelve new action-packed songs of apocalyptic, fuzzed-out, over-driven madness do not disappoint. A perfect distillation of punk?s original open-ended weirdness and modern music?s serrated salvation, THE SPITS have proven themselves to be no one to fuck with, over and over again. True headliners, never to be followed and for good reason.
SPLITS, THE - Ghosts 7" (Airiston Punk-Levyt Rec.) 5,50 EUR

STATIC STATIC - Nervous Converter 7" (13 O' Clock Rec.) 5,75 Euro
Limited screenprinted cover! Two new twisted tracks from one of L.A.'s finest synth-punk bands! "STATIC STATIC are to Los Angeles what a snow shovel is to Florida: out of place, but still sharp and heavy enough to fracture your skull if provoked, and full of enough angular and bent noise to cave in your prettiest features before you know what's happened. Once a two piece living room-punk glue wave machine, now a three-piece live unit with a real drummer (Leslie from the RED AUNTS), STATIC STATIC cull all the most wretched scraps of electronic noise and set them up to a hypnotic beat that is somehow completely great and shirks any annoying predispositions. The combination of real drums and drum machines working together is quite a sound to behold and really works wonders when aligned with their gnashing and convulsing songs engineered to lay your mind to waste. Taking equal parts of VOLT and SPIDER and molding it into a whole new spectrum of sonance, STATIC STATIC have remained in the shadows long enough, and it's time Los Angeles realized what a great resource they have lurking around in it's dark corners." - (Todd Killings VoT)
STATIC STATIC - Psychic Eyes LP (Tic Tac Totally Rec.) 12,90 EUR
Official release of the Psychic Eyes LP in case ya weren't able to get one of the 200 hand-screened tour copies last year. Static Static combine live and electronic instruments and percussion in a way that produces a serious sounding, sharpened state of bright and hynotic electronic fuzz punk. Citing influences like DEVO, CHROME, ELECTRIC EELS, SUICIDE you can gather an image pretty quickly. You probably know the deal by now with their string of EPs on 4:2:2, Hozac and more. Definitely a must have rocker with a reserved and serious no bullshit sound that shirks all the speculative bullshit for a straight ahead approach with no time for anything but good fucking songs.
"Taking equal parts of VOLT and SPIDER and molding it into a whole new spectrum of sonance, STATIC STATIC have remained in the shadows long enough, and it's time Los Angeles realized what a great resource they have lurking around in it's dark corners." - Todd Killings VoT
STATIC STATIC / WiZZARD SLEEVE split 7" (Jethrow Rec.) 6,00 Euro
Ltd. 500 silk-screened sleeve, ...if you need a review ask the messageboard losers. P.Trash say: This is a must have!!
STATICS - Sold my Sole 7" (Dead Beat Rec.) 4,5 Euro
STATUES - AUX LP (Full Trash 29)
Limd. 900 yellow / red / black screened covers / black wax 13,00 Euro
After the release of their second full-length "New people make us nervous", these Canadians are becoming more and more popular. To keep your cold turkey for their sweet and gritty sound at bay, P.Trash did a little diggin' in the musical past of the trio and puts out "Aux", same title as their first full-length, originally released as a CD only on Californian Pelado Records.
In agreement with the band, we picked the best 8 songs from this record (a choice that definitely wasn't easy) and the boys chipped in 2 more unreleased songs with the snappy "View from here" and the WIPERS-influenced "Mortar & Mason", both recorded somewhere between the releases of the two records. It's hard to believe that pearls like these haven't found their way on a record before. If you liked the pop-appeal of ''New people…'' you'll get your fix of harmonies and catchy melodies here.
This ain't no lame-ass "early-years-stuff'', these recordings are even more poppy and smoother than their latest material!
The guitar work in "Fine tuned'' and "Division" heavily reminds of THE CLASH and THE JAM, while songs like "Caught" and "Picket" are more on the JAWBREAKER side, all mixed up with a typical Canadian sense for power-pop and topped lyricwise with a critical eye on society. Also contains the hymn "Signals" from the band's first 7inch.
Comes in a hand-printed silkscreen cover done by Antipesto-Graphics
STATUES - New People Make Us Nervous LP (Full Trash 24)
Limd. 487 "2010 Edit." comes with new artwork and in bubblegum pink/red vinyl! 11,50 Euro
Those who are late may be punished by life itself but not by P.Trash.
As we have a heart for all the lost and little sheep in our flock, here comes another load of this classy STATUES album in tasty bubblegum pink vinyl. So go chew it!
This is the European pressing of STATUES' classic album "New people Make Us Nervous", which will immediately turn into one of your favourite records, a definite candidate for your ''all-time-classic'' selection.
Let this Canadian trio take you on a non-stop power-chord ride through 8 brilliant songs that lean on English Mod-Punk as well as taking straight Canadian Power-Pop and stirring it up with slightly dissonant and sweeping guitar lines.
Listen to the beautiful, CLASH inspired verses in ''All good things'' and ''(You can't wash) Dirty thoughts'' that turn into melodic BUZZCOCKS-like bombs in the choruses, the energetic '77 smashers ''Living in lines'', ''Nerve damage'' and ''Last stand'' that sound a bit like THE BRIEFS and never fail to surprise with perfectly inserted, astonishing parts, as in the opener ''Electric fences'', where THE JAM teams up with early JAWBREAKER, the WIPERS guitar in the super cool ''Rubber gloves'' or the Pop-Punk elements in ''Quality assurance''.
You also get a fantastic and gritty singer with a wide vocal range and lyrics that deal with social problems in a very clever and non-preaching way. Don't get us wrong: This ain't no wishy-washy Power-Pop, this record's full of melody, hooks and energy. It smokes!
Perfect fodder for fans of CLOROX GIRLS, OBSERVERS or THE TRANZMITORS.
STATUES - New People Make Us Nervous CD (Pelado Rec.) CD version comes with 5 bonus songs 10,00 EUR
STATUES new album "New people Make Us Nervous" CD is now available on Pelado Rds and exclusive distributed by P.Trash records in Europe. Brilliant power pop/punk songs ala early BUZZCOCKS / THE JAMS /
REPLACEMENT meets MANIKINS / HÜSKER DÜ. Strongly recommended! For fans of CLOROX GIRLS, OBSERVERS or THE TRANZMITORS.
STATUES - Same Bodies, Same Faces 7" (Deranged Rec.) 5,00 EUR
The first Deranged offering from Sudbury’s STATUES, but not the last. For those unaware, this trio has already released two excellent albums and is currently working on a third for later 2008. In the interim, these 4 tracks will need to hold those craving another album’s worth of STATUES’ infectious power punk. Same bodies, same faces features 3 new exclusive originals and a GG ALLIN cover of ‘Dead or Alive’.
STATUES - Terminal Bedroom CD-only (Deranged Rec.) 11,50 EUR
Since 2004, Sudbury, Ontario's STATUES have been smashing together their favorite bits of punk and power pop records into two full length albums ("Aux" and "New people make us nervous") and four 7" EPs. "Terminal bedroom" is the CD compilation of the Deranged Records released "Same bodies, same faces" 7" and the "Crooked fingers" EP and the "Broken hands" EP. There are 12 total tracks of pure bouncy goodness.

STATUES - Up Time (Europe-Tour 2010) 7" (P.Trash 63)
Limd. 473 normal sleeve 5,00 Euro
The Canadians really spoil us this time by not only releasing a brand new album, but also this exclusive little ditty, accompanying their European Tour 2010.
The title song 'Uptime' is supposed to be an outtake of their new album 'Holiday Cops' but comes in a different version with a Keyboard that gives the whole tune an even stronger touch of DEVO.
'Division' was already on the 'New People Make Us Nervous' LP but was re-recorded in a catchier way. On the flip you get the new song 'Dispensary' and a killer version of THE BUZZCOCKS' 'Lipstick'.and drips and drools!

STATUES - We're Disparate 7" (P.Trash 53)
Limd. 850 normal sleeve, 5,00 Euro
Limd. 150 "mod-punk" edit. blue/red screened silkscreen sleeve, 8,00 Euro
We really got desperate waiting for ''We're disparate'' by our favourite Canadian sons of Pop-Punk
who start this small sign of life with the somehow less poppy and more dodgy title track that is by any means a STATUES song
as we know and love it before getting to the real nitty gritty with the super cool and catchy ''To the top'' and the fantastic ''Young enough'' where they once more demonstrate that they are still young enough to care and definitely not old enough not to start. The live shot on this Sub Pop Single-Club rip-off sleeve is the living proof and everybody who was in the audience that night can tell the tale.
STEAKNIVES - Dvil Inside LP (White Zoo Rec.) 11,90 EUR
The four knives propose a balanced mixture of punk 77, early hardcore and proto punk. After their amazing EP, released two years ago on the american cult label Zodiac Killer Records, the band is comin' back! On their debut LP these four criminals have very sharp knives, 11 razor hits straight in your face! If you like ANGRY SAMOANS, CONSUMERS, FEAR... this is a 'must have' for your record collection! Fleshy cover!
STEFAN AND THE PROBLEMATIX - Same 7" (Machette Rec.) 5,90 EUR
Europe exclusive distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Limited to only 333 copies, all with silkscreen sleeves!!! This blaring side project of vocalist Stefan Granberg of Sweden's most prized punk band RANDY is sure to be the best punk 7" of 2009. With help from our friends at NY VAG Records (Sweden) and P. TRASH Records (Germany).
P.Trash review: Sometimes it just clicks. And even though it may be one-time-only thang, the fruits of this encounter will endure the test of time.
No, we're not talking about that one drunken night with the laquered-down snuff queen you have a baby with now and who's killing you with her monthly payment requests. We're talking about the getting together of Stefan of RANDY with Marcus, Robert and Jens of the REGULATIONS after he was blown away by one of their spectacular performances. They decided to start this band together but only played a couple of blood-drenched shows in their hometown of Umea before calling it quits soon after. Not without leaving us this little bastard of a baby.
The epic ''Ghost Riders'', the fast and crispy ''S.S.D.D.'' and the ball-swinging ''In the City'' are three driving, melodic and brutally catchy tunes that carry the unmistakely chromosomes of Stefan's main band RANDY that got in the gene pool with a dark dash of the MISFITS and brought to light by some raunchy guys that know the score. Like all the good things, this leaves you wanting more, even though you know that it will never be.
So put your sticky fingers on a copy of this Punkrock testament and shake it.
STELLA PEEL - Same LP plus CD (Milk & Chocolate Rec.) 12,50 EUR
That’s french grrrrl riot at its best. Imagine BIKINI KILL making out with SONIC YOUTH in a garage, while LES TERRIBLES are spying through the backdoor.arrrgh! There is also a cd for the lazy ones. Recorded by MR. STEVE ALBINI!

STEP DADS - Deja Vu 7" (NMG Rec.) 5,85 EUR
STEP DADSincludes members of DEREK LYN PLASTIC and Ex-Member of DEERHUNTER. Bad attitudes and totally obnoxious. They're both ingredients that should be included in all punk rock recipes. Some try to skimp on them though (which means they're not really punk rock at all) but not this band. It sounds like they even had a little extra so made a big mess in the kitchen. The band itself is based in the catchy buzzsaw punk rock-n-roll vein (SEX PISTOLS, THE ZEROS etc) which is all fine and dandy but it wasn't enough for them. Cue gravel throated ill-tempered belter railing off about power sluts and the Grim Reaper here. Crank the distortion to make his sandpaper grunt even more blown out and pile on an amount of ridiculous echo and it cooks something to break teeth on. Deep South USA white trash cousins of German beer bottle breakers the MOORAT FINGERS or Bathory pounding some nails into power pop? Well, that's for you do decide.--SMASHIN' TRANSISTORS. Also have a P.TRASH CLUB 7" coming out early 2011...

Do you wanna become "Obsessed With Evil" like they were? Well, buy the fuckin' album!! Suitable for punks, retards, weirdos, freaks, weazels, serial killers and YOU! Not suitable for pop punker, politically correct and plastic safe punks!

STEPHAN EICHER - Spielt Noise Boys LP (Born Bad Rec.) 14,90 EUR
STEPHAN EICHER - Spielt Noise Boys CD (Born Bad Rec.) 13,90 EUR
Wow! You have here the hardly impossible to find complete tape recordings (25 copies!) of this GRAUZONE side project. 5 songs came out on a 7" in 1980. Anyway... this recordings are far more experimental GRAUZONE's. Beatbox, Korg MS20, and Roland Promars, if you see what I'm talking about. It means minimal, punk and cold wave sounds. Attention! This is not the STEPHAN EICHER sound you know from his big radio hits! For fan of SUICIDE, LOST SOUNDS, minimal wave etc...
STEREOTYPES - Stereotypes LP (Sounds Of Subterrania Rec.) 180g 1st press 11,00 Euro
GREAT new S.o.S !!! After The Stereotypes debut LP release "1" ,landed shows opening for Spoon, Supergrass, and the legendary Buzzcocks. The "Types" found themselves writing a slew of new songs and returned to the studio to work on their follow up "2" LP. And this is a BEST OF both OUT OF PRINT records.
STERNOSNAKE - Ray of light 7" (Dull City Rec.) fat wax edit. 7,00 Euro
Rare fat wax editon ! Same weight than a 12" !! 5 track EP from the raw messed-up dark garagerock punkblues from Finland.
STEVE ADAMYK BAND – Forever Won’t Wait Japan-Digi-CD (Waterslide Rec.) 15,00 EUR
Europe distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Dirtnap is psyched to formally announce our next release, STEVE ADAMYK BAND – Signed to Dirtnap for his second album before his FIRST album (Self titled LP on P. Trash, soon to be reissued in the US by Dead Broke and re-pressed in Europe by P.Trash) even came out, this record has been awhile in the making, and well worth the wait!
The STEVE ADAMYK BAND are a bunch of obnoxious, rowdy, “kids” from Ottawa, Ontario. While the name would automatically draw comparison to a blues, jazz or rock band given the layout, make no mistake; the STEVE ADAMYK BAND are a punk band. The SAB play trash-pop inspired by seventies punk, the skinny tie bands of the eighties and nineties garage rock. From the ashes of Million Dollar Marxists (Gearhead Records) and Sedatives (P.Trash Records), the group was born out of necessity – a whack load of orphan songs with no band to call home. Frustrated playing in bands the would eventually call it quits, Adamyk formed a band that could have an endless timeline, even if the name is outside of the standard band name zone. Releasing two European singles before their first live performance, the SAB would go on to unload 4 seven inch singles and an LP in 2010. The self-titled LP in question sold out its initial pressing in three months and received rave reviews, including being hailed as Ben Weasel’s favourite album of 2010. The following year, the SAB toured Europe, performed at SXSW and recorded their sophomore LP “Forever Won’t Wait” to be unleashed by Portland, OR’s Dirtnap Records closing in on the end of the year. More touring and releases are currently in the works for 2012, as it doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

STEVE ADAMYK BAND - Desecrate 7" (Taken By Surprise Rec.) 5,00 EUR
STEVE ADAMYK is the guitarist of the band SEDATIVES who I had the pleasure of doing a 7" with last year. He started the STEVE ADAMYK BAND as a solo project and the line-up now includes Emmanuel and Dave from the SEDATIVES! This is their 3rd 7" following two great smashers on P.TRASH and RED LOUNGE respectively. 3 songs on this one now, if you need comparisons before you click on their MySpace link, ok, I think this sounds like a mix of POINTED STICKS and THE BARRACUDAS. Whoever doesn't like those two bands must feel no joy in life...

STEVE ADAMYK BAND - Same CD (Digital Trash 10) 12,00 Euro
Good ole Steve has gassed up this rocket of a record with the catchiest and hottest Power-Pop combustible available on the black market.
His faithful and brave crew members Dave and Emmanuel of mondo SEDATIVES have already taken their seats and with every one of these 10 songs here we count down to take-off to what is gonna be the vehicle to take you to Planet Punk this summer. If your universe was dark and empty, the launch of this record will bring the stars back into your bloodshed eyes. The propulsive force of the catchy melodies in songs like ‘’I’ll take you anywhere’’ and ‘’Unglued’’, or the highly-infectious ‘’Not for long’’ and ‘’Speed it up’’ will shoot you directly into a galaxy that has been forgotten since the extinction of the CARBONAS or the MANIKINS.
A quick stop for a beer in a cosmic bar that plays the DICKIES on the jukebox even brings some more melancholic tunes like ‘’Hollowed’’ , until Steve decides to start the return journey just in time with ‘’Better off’’ and ‘’Your only one’’ and ends your joyful flight drunk and happily on your bedroom floor.

STICKS N STONES - Red Light 7" (Dusty Medical Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Dusty Medical records proudly serves up another Brew City classic with the debut 7" from STICKS N STONES. Founded after the untimely demise of TUFF BANANAS, Sticks N' Stones includes core members Paul Kalfahs and Jon Heibler of CATHOLIC BOYS and Natalie Clark of THE TEARS playing an insanely catchy take on the late 70's/ early 80's American power pop exemplified by CHEAP TRICK, SHOES, or THE NERVES, that sticks in your mind like candy melted to the bench you just sat on. The A side "Red Light," with its guitar power chord crunch, full, bouncy bass and danceable drums, comes on like a forgotten roller rink jam or classic theme song to a B grade retro teenage comedy, while the flipside "Time Change" mines similiar nostalgic territory with wistful longings for the simplicity of the past. This debut is a scorcher, anyone wise enough to add this to their collection will be eagerly awaiting the next record's worth of hyper, sugar-glazed pop.

STILETTOS - Making History LP (Sounds Of Subterrania Rec.) 11,00 Euro
LP comes with bonustrack. Recorded in one wild weekend at the infamous Rocketdog Studios "Making history by repeating it" is the new album by Dutch punk rockers The Stilettos. Born and bred in a small cowtown out in the sticks, on a steady diet of repression with a clear perspective of nothing, The Stilettos sought refuge in rock and roll !!!
STIPJES - Ripping It Off 7" (Rip Off Rec.) 5,00 Euro
STOLEN HEARTS - Heart Collector 7" (Douchmaster Rec.) 5,50 EUR
I know just what you're thinking. Believe me I do. When GG called back in February to tell me that his best girl had and her friends has started and band and that he was playing in it, I couldn't imagine having any interest in this recording. Then I heard the recording, and within about thirty seconds I was in. In keeping with tradition of D~M~R releases, the backbone here is simplicity. The ballad-esque intro to Heart Collector makes me think that they would have preferred to sound like a Spector-style girl group, but the lack of Phil and his song writing talents allows them come off as a very competent Teen Line style band. Ashley's vocals may be the star of the show. They sound experienced and even sultry at times while retaining the innocent charm that allows a band with this sort of pop sensibility work....even if she is singing about lighting dudes on fire. Super cool Sponsors cover on the flip side.
STITCHES - Monday Morning Ornaments 7" (No Front Teeth Rec.) 5,15 Euro
STITCHES - Monday Morning Ornaments 7" (No Front Teeth Rec.) Limd. version dif. sleeve 9,90 Euro

STORMTROOPER - I'm a Mess LP (Rave Up Rec.) 12,25 EUR
Stormtrooper formed and disbanded in a fury in 1975 before punk rock arose?out of the ashes of glam and pub rock! .
Their debut single "I'm A Mess" was described by the British music press as "the sound of a commuter being shoved under a tube train in the rush hour, one for howling at the moon and a tale of drunkenness in the wild of Soho" The band formed at the bar in the Marquee? Club by British front man Nigel Hutchings and bassist Jeff Piccinini who recruited John Pilka on guitar and Mike Lee on drums. They recorded a demo of 4 songs in August of 1975 and then signed with?Corruption Management on the Portobello Road for a couple of pints and some distant promises. The band played only one gig at the Bath Pavilion, then split-up. This, ladies and gentleman, was before the birth of punk rock and the tracks of this anthology are pure “punk” before... punk!!!
STOUT BROS / DIGGER AND PUSSYCATS (tribut J.CASH) 7" (Beast Rec.) 4,90 EUR

STRANGE ATTRACTOR / RED MASS Split-10" (Short-Circuit Trash 01)
Limd. 500 regular sleeve and black wax 10,90 Euro
Limd. 100 have different artworks "Freaky Young Hendrix" / "Puking Man", fixed to old-style shellac sleeves and pink wax! For P.Trash Club-members only! 13,90 Euro
A record that has more colors than a Disney movie on LSD and is crazier than the whole Muppet Show running out of Ritalin. Yes, Ladies and Gents, it's the P. Trash premiere of the nice and handy 10inch format with a bunch of manic and fabulous tunes on either side.
Starting with STRANGE ATTRACTOR (spinning on 45 rpm) you get some short and snotty blasts of melodic Punk songs by Jeff, drummer of the STATUES. He makes more noise with his warehouse guitar than an entire Bluespunk orchestra and recorded this tasty collection in his basement all by himself with a little help from Ian of the SEDATIVES on Vox organ. His version of Germany's first Punk band BIG BALLS AND THE GREAT WHITE IDIOT ''Kick her in the dirt'' will kick you in the balls, no matter how big or dirty!
More sonic madness awaits with RED MASS on the 33 rpm side.
It's Choyce from CPC GANGBANGS and LES SEXAREENOS beating this meat and his cheap guitar in ''Stains'', doing a handclapping good job in a run-down version of NERVOUS EATERS' ''You've heard this chords before''
before closing with the bebopping ''Charlie Brown'', bringing out the Muppets again.
STRANGE ATTRACTOR - Same LP (Red Lounge Rec.) 13,50 EUR
STRANGE ATTRACTOR - Same CD (Red Lounge Rec.) 12,90 EUR
Killer Garage Dirt from this brand new outfit! Jeff from the STATUES and his buddies are a dirty bunch of NIGHT BANGERS!! Check it out, the LP will be to kill for!!! Important Facts that might just win you a million on TV: 19 Gripping Songs in less the 20 minutes! And no "Diamonds and Rust" or "The Ballad Of Jimmy Hendrix" either! File under: early JEFFREY NOVAK (The P.Trash years) mixed with TOYOTAS

STRANGE BOYS - And Girls Club LP (In The Red Rec.) 12,50 Euro
The debut album from Austin's Strange Boys is finally here and is guaranteed no to disappoint. 16 tracks in 35 minutes. The Strange Boys blend Nuggets garage, punk, R&B, blues and country without getting pinned down by any one of those styles. This is great stuff!
STRANGE BOYS - Be Brave LP (In The Red Rec.) 14,75 EUR
Like it or not, The STRANGE BOYS are probably both younger and more accomplished than you. Since the band’s humble beginnings as a duo in 2003, they’ve shared stages with the likes of Roky Erickson, Daniel Johnston, and Black Lips, leaving a smattering of singles, EPs, and CDRs in their wake. The band’s full-length debut, "And girls club", wound up on countless best-of-2009 lists and landed them a record deal (outside North America) with Rough Trade. Now, the Boys kick off 2010 with their follow-up, "Be brave", and it’s guaranteed to please any and all who appreciate an infectious mix of ramshackle Garage-Rock, polished Village Green-era KINKS melodies, and vocals that suggest a young Bob Dylan had he spent more of his formative years in juvie halls than coffeehouses. And who can’t dig that? "Be brave", recorded at The Distillery in Costa Mesa by Mike McHugh, is the debut of the new, modified STRANGE BOYS lineup. The result is an ever-so-slight build upon the Roots-Garage template they’ve constructed over the course of their career so far. The moody parts are now moodier and the band’s signature groove is now…well…groovier. The Boys internalize a host of classic Pop and Rock sub-sub-genres and make them sound utterly vibrant in the messed-up times of now.
STRANGLERS - 5 Minutes/ Rok It To The Moon 7" (United Artists Rec., 2nd hand) 4 Euro
STRAP ONS - Dirty People LP (ZŸrich Chainsaw Rec.) 8,5 Euro
STRAP STRAPS - Invisible Knife 10" (No Front Teeth Rec.) Black sleeve version 11,25 EUR
STRAP STRAPS - Invisible Knife 10" (No Front Teeth Rec.) White sleeve version 11,25 EUR
Get ready to blow your balls with this insanely killer 12-track debut full-length from The Strap Straps featuring members of The Cute Lepers, Briefs and Spits. This is such a unique record that you just need to hear... badly. So there you have it... this is uber-necessary!!! There are 2 regular sleeve variations (the chalk outline and the invisible knife stabbing) and 2 limited versions... and get ready for these because this is the most killer limited edition art we’ve ever done!!! These feature laser-cut covers so the knife and the letters are all actually cut out so you can see the record through the gaps and you can use the cover as a stencil too. The tan coloured sleeve is on waxed card and the grey coloured sleeve is on thick-stock cartridge paper that has been blood-splattered. Both limited editions come with the cut-out knife too! The grey version has a bloodied tip.
STRATE COATS, THE - The Savage Young Greg Ashley 7" (Hook or Crook Rec.) 5,50 Euro
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Originally recorded and submitted to PHANTOM SURFER Mike Lucas through another League City, TX band called THE ILLNESSES (Greg: "which is who Lowery ripped off for the name of the INFECTIONS and their album title. THE ILLNESSES theme song was "Kill the Illnesses", they played the Rip Off rumble in 97 i believe") for his Repent Records label (THE STRATE COATS later met up with Lucas on the first DONNAS US tour) these recording are available now for the first time as a document of Greg Ashley's wild first band. Having long praised the recording techniques and Budget Rock sensibilities of the MUMMIES and related mid-late 90s garage bands in interviews and late night drunken diatribes, this is the first widely available indication of Ashley's adolescent flirtation with the related way-beyond-anti-PC sentiments his recent fans may not recognize as entirely intrinsic to his garage punk roots. With 8 songs clocking in under 15 minutes on one 7”, includes a cover of FREESTONE`S Killed By Death classic "Bummer Bitch". It is an entirely authentic era-specific Rip-Off/Estrus/Radio-X type sound made by drunk teenagers in 1997. As Greg would say “This ain't no Hippie shit!” For fans of: THR MUMMIES, REATARDS, SUPERCHARGER, etc.
STRICKLANDS - Back on track CD 10,90 Euro
mor einfo soon...
STRONG COME ONES - Yell A Lot... 7" (Big Neck Rec., rare col. wax) 6,5 Euro
SUBMARINE RACES - Hard To Look At, Easy To See LP plus CD (In The Red Rec.) 15,50 Euro
The sophomore release from Ian Adams' (ex Ponys) band is an even more rocking affair than their debut. Crafting clever pop tunes with 12 string jangle and 60's beat sensibilities. Heavily informed by Monochrome Set, The Easybeats and 60's girl groups. Great stuff!
SUBMARINE RACES - Same 7" (Shit Sandwich Rec.) 5 Euro
Single is by awesome new Chicago rockers SUBMARINE RACES! Ian Adams, Paul John Higgins, and Steve Denekas are SUBMARINE RACES. They've paid their dues (and then some) in some groups you might have heard of (The PONYS, HAPPY SUPPLY, ENTERTAIMENT, THE COUNTDOWN). This is their second release, following their lauded debut album on In The Red. Three tracks exclusive to this release, including a MINUTEMEN cover. It's quirky, arty pop that draws upon all the best guitar-rock from the 60s through the 80s. You're gonna love this!!!
SUBMARINE RACES - Same LP (In The Red Rec.) 11,90 Euro
Up periscope, sailor! There's some hot-rocking on the horizon. SUBMARINE RACES are a threesome of arty rocker-types from Chicago, Illinois. Started by guitarist/vocalist/explorer Ian Adams (The PONYS, HAPPY SUPPLY), drummer/seaman Paul John Higgins, and bassist/best mate Steve Denekas (ENTERTAIMENT, THE COUNTDOWN), the 'Races borrow freely from the entire Easybeats catalogue, commandeer the Modern Lovers' understated efficiency, and all but sleep with the entirety of mid-to-late 1980's twee, British guitar-pop bands. Submarine Races' signature sound is both calculated to be derivative and absolutely authentic. Considering the current state of rock's apeish bravado and emotionally-impaired dildo-ery, these guys remind you why you put The Pastels on mix tapes in the first place. They also happen to know what a good haircut can do for a young band's confidence in "the game." With a handful of jangled melodies, some polite lyrics, and plenty of charm, the group has its coordinates set for your stereo. Let's just hope they don't "deep-six" you when your hatch is cracked.
SUDDEN WALKS - Haulin Ass Gettin Paid 7" (P.Trash 41)
Limd. 350 regular sleeve SOLD OUT!
Limd. 150 "roar" edit. limited silkscreen sleeve, orange print on deluxe gold paper, for P.Trash Club-members only!
The first combo we dragged on shore of Trashy Island in the new year is Connecticut's young perturbators SUDDEN WALKS with their second EP ''Haulin' ass Gettin' paid'', a real live wire with four new tracks that exude the same seeking and sick atmosphere as early REATARDS recordings.
Just listen to the thrown-up teenage hymn ''You're so blank'' and you know what we mean. Also if you find pleasure in the distorted musical orgies of the RETAINERS, the FATALS or LIVE FAST DIE you just won't manage to resist songs like ''Do you feel so dead'' and ''Please don't go''. In the slower ''She keeps me depraved'' you can even hear the desperate call of the COMPULSIVE GAMBLERS before the song finally comes to a fast and wrecking end. You know, these four youngsters love to destroy the peace in their neighbourhood just a bit too much to keep it slow! So haul your ass out of your easy chair and get this one!
SUDDEN WALKS - My Nerves Are Fucking Shot EP 7" (Never Heard Of It Rec.) 5,50 EUR
RECCOMENDED KILLER 7" Lo fi trash fest!!! Great three song debut here, that mixes the intensity and power of the ZERO BOYS with the bash n roll low brow noise of the RETAINERS / FEELERS /HOMOSTUPIDS & REATARDS. Great songs, fucked distorted guitar tones.
SUGAR STEMS - Beat Beat Beat / Crybaby 7" (Bachelor Rec.) 5,00 EUR
When our secretary Mindy Hecht says that she is “wetting her panties” when hearing this new 7”, she is lying of course, cause she aint wearing any panties, never. I think Mindy just wanted to express her feelings about the classic two song single of a new band called SUGAR STEMS from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we just put out on our BACHELOR imprint. Well of course it’s a HIT SINGLE but why does she refuse to write an info for this platter???? I dunno. She says she cannot write about a 45 that “blows her mind” so now I end up doing it although I really have better things to do than writing press infos for my label, like getting another strawberry deluxe milkshake (vodka AND sugar) or watching T.V. So buy this record here or don’t buy it, I don’t care. If you don’t, you will miss not one but TWO exhibitions of sugar coated garagepop awesomeness, the two girls in the band are cute and the boys, well, they are boys. Cover art has been done by this kid Chris from England who maintains that he has played in a “great” garagepunk band called REAL LOSERS, as if anyone would care. He may be a band guitar player but I hafta admit he can do some fine artworks! Hurry, we only have 500 handnumbered copies. Over and Out….
SUGAR STEMS - Debut LP (Bachelor Rec.) 10,50 EUR
Welcome to another joyride in the BACHELOR train from/to Milwaukee.... We are very proud to be part of this release, the debut full lenght of the SUGAR STEMS! One year ago the band sent me a six song demo CDR which made my boss drool. He immediately inked a deal with these kids and put out their debut 7" which got a lot of raving reviews. They went to the MYSTERY STUDIOS with Justin Perkins (again), who recorded another batch of great songs, most of which you can find on this full lenght release. These two guys and two gals churn out hit after hit, think of THE SHIVVERS with proper production or female fronted RASPBERRIES with a kick!!! I am talking about wholesome powerpop fun, pressed on beautiful black vinyl, housed in a cardboard sleeve designed by Chris Tayler / X-Ray Vision - this package is like a chewing gum that never loses ist flavour!!

SUINAGE - 99 Things I Ignore CD-Ep plus Video (Swine Rec.) 10,90 EUR
A very promising 6 songs EP(plus one video) from this Italian power pop trio and we dont` get the chance to say the words "Italian power pop" as often as we`d like so this much cause for celebration. Suinage have the energy and power that the first two Joe Jackson albums had(the lead singer sounds a lot like Jackson, too), as well as bringing to mind late 70`s mod-power pop UK-based alongside the modern-drive of The Plimsouls, Weezer, The Replacements and The Lemonheads. The bottom line is their onto something very cool as each of the six songs here strongly assert. I thought the words of their bio are apt and accurate enough to share: "Suinage is a strange word. Suinage are Pilli, Flavio and Ariel. Suinage`s influences go back to classic powerpop sounds of the 70`s and indie rumours of the nineties, mixed with the everlasting power of rock`n` roll. By the way, Suinage doesn`t want to be focused in no particular standard.Suinage doesn`t belong to any specific musical, or cultural scene. Thank you." Well, we`re not just polite, but we really, really dig this band and they get thumbs up and a Very Highly Recommended status!
SUINAGE - Shaking Hands CD (Swine Rec.) 12,90 EUR
12 song CD-only release. We loved the debut EP from Suinage back in 2007 and wrote that it was promising and we were looking forward to a full length. It has arrived and it’s a scorcher. This Italian power pop band combines all the frenetic energy of Australian bands like The CHEVELLES and connects it to the dusty, rocking and howling sounds of JASON & The SCORCHERS. SUINAGE have the energy and power that the first two JOE JACKSON albums had(the lead singer sounds a lot like a really angry Jackson and Adam Marsland, too), as well as bringing to mind late 70..s mod-power pop UK-based alongside the modern-drive of The PLIMSOULS, late-era HÜSKER DÜ, The REPLACEMENTS and The LEMONHEADS. The bottom line is their onto something very cool as each of the six songs here strongly assert. What I find myself being pulled into with “Shaking Hands” is that normally rocking pop with a singer that is not all squeaky clean, polished up for the studio is something I may have a hard time highly recommending to picky pop fans. What I mean is that lead singer and guitarist Pilli Colombo screams the songs into the speakers but the gorgeous, riff-ready melodies of the songs wash right over the top of the vocals making the sound original, interesting and something that makes SUINAGE stick out from the pack. They are just not another pop band trying to rockingly capture your hearts. Extremely Highly Recommended!!!

SULTAN, MARK - Sultanic Verses LP (In The Red Rec.) 11,90 Euro
KILLER LP!!! One half of the KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW. Singer/guitarist of MIND CONTROLS. Drummer/singer of
LES SEXAREENOS. Singer of The SPACESHITS. The Sultanic Verses, his first album as 'Mark Sultan', lets him live up to these heady statements and beyond. Foregoing the one man, live recording style he perfected as 'BBQ' for the most part, Sultan decided to do an album recording many of the instruments himself and inviting friends to fill in the gaps. Recorded in Berlin and Montreal, the results are perfect. Proving his reputation as one of the world's finest rock'n'roll singers and songwriters, but also expanding his repertoire by throwing experimental, psychedelic and punk rock into his trademark mix of RnB, garage, soul and REAL rock'n'roll. The Sultanic Verses is 11 songs of creative genius with NO FILLER AT ALL.

SUNPOWER - Bondage LP (Go! Rilla / Crucial Attack Rec.) Limd. col wax 11,90 EUR
SUNPOWER - Bondage LP (Go! Rilla / Crucial Attack Rec.) black wax 10,90 EUR
The new record of Belgium’s SUNPOWER is now available. Bondage was recorded in 2 days and mixed in 2 evenings, as a punk record should be and gives us 10 new songs with the genuine SUNPOWER sound… Don’t expect any weird chord progressions, it’s what you could expect of SUNPOWER, hardcore punk reminding of bands like DEAD KENNEDY's, MINOR THREAT and ANGRY SAMOANS, played with furious energy and fast paced lyrics that deal with subjects as Guantanamo Bay, rednecks and leather boots. Bondage is the third record of SUNPOWER and, as cliché as it might sound, their most mature to date!
SUNSET RIDERS - My Life 7" (Suburban Waste Rec.) 5,50 Euro
Back Stock, GREEN WAX EDIT. Seven tracks here on 45RPM, a violent outburst of shout and pit hardcore from Washington state. Strong stuff, plated with burly 80's riffs and tough-guy vocals (think an even more pissed MINOR THREAT), including a dash of straight edge style in there at times. The vocals are extremely robust, this guy sounds like he means it! Great recording and cool sleeve makes this a stand out record in this genre. Cool shit!!!
SUPERDESTROYERS - YOURE BEING ERASED 7" (Windian Rec.) 5,90 EUR
Europe exclusive distributed by P.Trash Records!!!
Debut single from these New Orleans punkers featuring Joe P [one of the many dudes that played keys for the SPITS]. Very cool sound with great street lyrics about NOLA, and the daily same old bullshit. 350 black wax.

SUPERIOR UNITS - Take Her In The Classroom 7" (Plastic Idol Rec.) 5,50 EUR
East Bay teens from BUZZER and the IMPEDIMENTS join forces in Superior Units to make the kind of music you wish you knew existed at their bright-eyed age. I suppose it's not a shocker these kids are so well-informed given their stake in one of the world's best rock 'n' roll scenes, but you might be surprised to learn that a couple of them have been doing it this way for years, dating back to the PHIL SPECTOR SHOTGUN EXPERIENCE at age 14. The first time I heard Superior Units, they were paying tribute to their superior units. The tune was "2 Much 4 Skin," a '70s proto-punk inspired gem that had me waxing nostalgic about the first time I heard the GIZMOS. A similar vibe hangs over this record from start to finish and it's totally boss. The EP's title track, a detention hall soundtrack aimed at the hot-for-teacher set, and "2 Many Dipshitz," a bouncy, bratty sing-along, are ridiculous in the most complimentary way. Well done, lads! Limited to 300 copies, black vinyl.

Hot on the tails of their debut LP released on GOING GAGA RECORDS in the fall of 2008...the SUPPOSITORIES are back with another dangerous piece of wax!!!These days, it's satisfying to discover that there ARE people still into punk rock. The SUPPOSITORIES worship the minimal...I'm talkin' one chord. Violent vocals, baddass square rhythms, it's got what you need. They've reworked their formation, and now, have added even MORE magic. Ladies and gentlemen, behold, Ilona, super-punk supreme!!! She's joined the band on guitar...and introduced a whole new meaning to takin' it to the next level. SUZY & LOS QUATTRO - Hank LP (BCore Disc Rec.) 12,90 EUR
SUZY & LOS QUATTRO - Hank CD (BCore Disc Rec.) 12,50 EUR
Woah. Talk about turning a negative into a positive.
On March 9th 2009, Suzy and BB Quattro's friend HANK was murdered.
This catapulted them into an episode that they've captured like an audio
movie. I hesitate to use the expression rock opera because this includes
the roll part too. In addition to the fact that they had to deal with the loss
of a dear friend, the healing process took many twists and turns. All of
those are documented here in terms of a collision between the finest
shards of East Coast US punk and glorious Californian pop.
You read acres of press blurb about how great bands and artists are.
Most of its tosh - but you gotta sell it somehow. I put my hand up - I am
undeniably biased but sometimes one has to be objective. There are
times when in order to retain any sort of credibility then such bias has to
be set aside.
As much for the acts sake as for the individual who is testifying.
So, I solemnly swear that this album plays out like a great film. It has a
beginning, a middle and an end. It's sequenced to be listened to in order
but the individual songs stand tall in their own right.
Be it the Bo Diddley type crunch that hits in “The Quiet Man” or an anthem
like “In My Dreams Again” that literally reduced me to rubble. “Freak Out”
and “Kick Ass” are power rockers that'll have you bouncing and punching
the air like you thought you'd forgotten how to.
It's been a pure pleasure to watch the band get here. It's not fake, it's
not forced and their version of Bobby Dylan's “You Angel You” is as jaw
dropping as how The Who interpreted Mose Allison's “Young Man Blues”.
Suzy's vocal on “Still Mad About You” is pure Minnie Ripperton, a
soul/doowop hymn to their departed amigo that manages to convey hope
for the future in addition to declaring their allegiance to HANK.
Wherever he is at this point, I bet H is damn proud of what his old friends
have assembled in his honour. He must have been a heck of a guy to warrant
this standard of remembrance. Though I never had the pleasure of
meeting him, I reckon we would have gotten along just (Jim) dandy.
That's my pitch - if you don't like this then I really can't help you but if you
do then savour every note because they hardly ever make blockbusters
like this anymore.

SUZY & LOS QUATTRO - Stick With It LP + deluxe poster (Screaming Apple Rec.) 11,50 EUR
The LP comes with a both-sided printed full color poster! This album features future classics that could actually please all of the people all of the time"!! This above is an excerpt from the liner notes on Suzy & Los Quattro's new album, "Stick With It" (WPR/Screaming Apple 2008), penned by Lindsay Hutton, founder of the legendary magazine The Next Big Thing and collaborator in MOJO or SOUNDS. "Stick With It" is a great step forward in the band's career, proving they can beat any obstacle after two years of line-up changes. Now working as a four-piece, the band plans an extensive tour that will take them to 9 different countries. Musically speaking, the band sticks to their magic formula of catchy pop songs fuelled by crunchy guitars, you only have to listen to Crazy On The Phone or Because Of You to realize they still have it when it comes to writing immediate hits. But something has changed, this time the production and arrangements are taken up a notch, without losing a grip on punkpop. This time Suzy & Los Quattro have broadened their horizons to a lot of the sounds they worship so much as die-hard music fans. H.A.T.E! is soaked wet in glam, winking an eye to bands like The Sweet, Slade and featuring some guitars likely to remind you of "Billion Dollar Babies" by Alice Cooper. Too Late will get your feet on the dance-floor like the disco Blondie did in the 70's and The Sounds have done recently. But Suzy & Los Quattro don't forget their 60's pop heritage, penning the beautiful ballad Maybe I'm Wrong, that would surely make Phil Spector proud with two pianos, strings and horns playing under Suzy Chain's voice, shining through every track of this album like never before. Of course they didn't miss their date with new-wave in cuts like Go On, which might remind you of Baby Let's Twist with Chrissie Hynde on lead vocals. And for the more straight-forward crowd, tracks like Comeback Superstar will please the surfers and Rock Boys (dig those harmonies!) will do it for the rock'n'rollers. Special mention to Donna Donna, an amazing track with one of the catchiest choruses ever, dedicated to Donna, a rescue dog that recently became part of the Quattro-Chain family, and that will be linked to animal rights camapaigns. This album consolidates all the things that Suzy & Los Quattro promised on their first album, "Ready To Go!" (2004), which got rave reviews and was licensed in Germany and Japan. During 2005 they embarked on their 2 week Japanese "Lipstick To Japan Tour", which confirmed their "pop idol" status in the land of rising sun, selling out two nights in Tokyo and receiving an almost beatlesque warm welcome. So for any Ramones / Blondie / Beach Boys / Raspberries fan, here's your new favourite band!
SWEET - Sweet Mix 12" (Ariola Rec.) 7 Euro
SWEET FACES - Four Song 7" (Douchmaster Rec.) 5,50 EUR
Brian Hermosillo of The FEVERS is back with an awesome project he did a while back while farting around Holland. Fever B is probably the most meticulous songwriter we have ever worked with, and this record is a testament to his attention to detail. This is how Pop is done. This sucker is big time bang for your buck too with four songs.
SWEET JAPANESE AMERICAN PRINCESSES - Im only moonlight 7" (Dirtnap Rec.) 5 Euro
SWEET J.A.P. has exploded off the Midwest punk map over the last few years, with a full length on Big Neck Records and several 7"s including splits with The Kill-A-Watts and The Reds (pre-Marked Men). Successfully blurring the lines of punk sub genres, SWEET J.A.P. plays fast and savage enough to be HC, but with enough catchy hooks to satisfy the garage punks and the '77 fans. Lazy comparasions to TEENGENERATE and early REGISTRATORS abound.
